Importance of Final Year Project

It is an undeniable fact that final year project is the most essential part of Engineering. However, students still do not know its importance and they just randomly choose projects without identification and categorization of demand in the field. They are entirely unaware of the factors on which basis they have to select the domain of their final year project. As a matter of fact, provision of proper guidelines, seminars, workshops and training programs should be arranged to learn students in making prioritization for the selection of the field in which they can go for the project. They have to consider several factors and key points during selection of their final year project. The major factor on which evaluation should be based upon their area of interest in specialization. They can also take guide from industrial experts, supervisors, mentors and seniors. Over 7 years of my teaching experience, I strongly believe that seminars on tips and strategies for choosing final year project must be organized for the students to help them in their selection.
