Unethical Content in Pakistani Dramas

Unethical Content in Pakistani Dramas:

Undoubtedly, Pakistan's drama industry has prospered drastically over the last decade much of its credit goes to the emerging actors and directors who have given a new essence to the Entertainment industry. As a matter of fact, the competition has started among them that is why actors and actresses are working hard in improving the quality of their acting. In this era of pandemic, when  females of our society get exhausted from daily household chores so they usually want some sort of entertainments and programs to watch on television to release their stress and anxiety. In this way, their mind will get divert and they gain some sort of relaxation. I strongly believe that acting in Pakistani dramas are still so real and it makes us realize that we are watching real stories. There are lots of Pakistani blockbuster dramas which gained lots of appreciation and attention of the audience including "Hamsafar", "Mere Pass Tum Ho","Yakeen ka Safar" and so on.

Nowadays, Pakistani dramas are portraying females so desperate and obsessed for males. They are begging to boys to get married with them. For instance, girl is so eager to get married with her brother-in-law, father-in-law is trying to get married from his own daughter-in-law, brother in law is having affair with her own sister-in-law and you can see these types of issues in most of the dramas like "Tera Gham and Hum","Jalan","Pyar kay Sadqay", "Kasa-e-Dil", "Fitrat" blah blah. My concern is that our younger generation are also watching it so what it will impact on their minds? I still remember that my parents used to tell us that we have to treat our brother-in-laws so respectfully so we were unable to think negatively about them and obviously boys were also taught not to be so closed with their sister-in-laws. I do not think so that it is actually happening in our society as they are depicting in their dramas. I belong from the middle class family and I did not find these types of cases. Even I did not heard from anyone. In my opinion, it will ultimately influence minds of our younger generation and create negative effects on them. It is not possible that we prohibit our children for watching dramas in the long run.

Therefore, an effective strategy is to raise our voice on various platforms against these dramas. This approach is problem solving and does not create chaos. However, government should take proper initiatives by imposing ban or putting fines on these  dramas and set up organization to properly check and verify content of the dramas before getting on-aired.
