"NEDIANS in the UK"
Needless to say, Pakistani students with student visas seeking employment and accommodation in the UK initially encountered significant challenges upon arriving. Students find this to be the most challenging period of their lives. The biggest concern is that the currency of the UK is too high when you convert it into rupees. It is obvious students from Pakistan find it expensive when they convert Pakistani Rupees into British Pounds. Nevertheless, there is another trend that is taking place, especially, with students coming to the UK with their families. It is not uncommon that some spouses attend university while their husbands, on the other hand, come as dependents and vice versa. Especially if there are kids involved it is clear that it is too challenging to handle for families in the UK. A number of things can trigger it, including a struggle to find an apartment, apply for a job, or enroll children in school at the same time.
On Facebook groups, I read many situations where families ask for advice and support since they are unable to resolve these issues on their own. In these circumstances, the Facebook group named "NEDIANS in the UK" appears to be a blessing for all Pakistani students and dependents who come here and endure hardships. It is the hope for all the new entrants in the United Kingdom. Admins and members of this group are extremely helpful in all aspects. Upon arrival with my family, I also faced similar struggles and obstacles, but I received tons of support from this group, from getting instructions on how to write Curriculum Vitae in standard UK format to applying for the job. Furthermore, you will be able to find people from various backgrounds that are experienced. It's important that more international Pakistani students from the UK join this group and keep it active so that we can have a broader community on one platform. There's no doubt we all gain from it.
Glad to call ourselves NEDIANS.😏😊😺🙆
